Choco Love

If you love chocolate and you love your skin, there are two Skin Gourmet products you need to know about. Both come from the same Ghanaian cocoa, but each one does something different. One you eat and drink. The other you scrub with. Together, they turn a cocoa obsession into a full skincare routine.

Raw Cocoa Powder: your edible glow from the inside

Poudre de cacao brut is exactly what it sounds like: pure cocoa, ground from handcrafted Ghanaian beans, with nothing added. You can stir it into hot water or milk for a clean chocolate drink, sprinkle it over yoghurt or oatmeal, blend it into smoothies, or bake with it. It delivers antioxidants, magnesium, and that deep chocolate flavour without any of the fillers or sugar you get from commercial cocoa.

But here is where it crosses into skincare. Mix Raw Cocoa Powder with Wild Northern Honey or plain yoghurt, spread a thin layer on your face, leave it for eight to twelve minutes, and rinse. The antioxidants work on your skin the same way they work inside your body. It is a simple DIY face mask that costs you nothing extra because you already have the cocoa in your kitchen.

Raw Cocoa Sugar Paste: the scrub that smells like dessert

While the powder works from the inside and as a mask, Pâte de sucre de cacao brut is built for your body. It is a thick, edible scrub made from five ingredients: cane sugar, Ghana sea salt, raw cocoa butter, raw coconut oil, and raw cocoa powder. That is the full list. No preservatives, no filler.

The sugar and salt polish away dead skin, while the cocoa butter and coconut oil move in to soften. Massage it over damp skin in circles, leave it for five to ten minutes like a mask, then rinse. It smells like a Ghanaian chocolate bar, and it will not stain you. Use it two or three times a week for smooth, glowing skin from head to toe.

Which one do you need?

The honest answer is both, because they do different jobs. The Poudre de cacao brut is your daily dose of chocolate that doubles as a face mask. The Pâte de sucre de cacao brut is your weekly body polish. One nourishes, the other exfoliates. Together they cover every kind of glow.

GHS 120 for the powder (250g) and GHS 220 for the scrub (160g). Both handmade in Ghana from the same wildcrafted cocoa, both edible, both as pure as it gets.
