What it actually is: termite-mound clay<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most clay masks are bentonite or kaolin, mined and processed. Ours is pure ant-mound clay, sometimes called termite clay, harvested from mounds in Northern Ghana. Termites dig deep and bring fine, mineral-rich subsoil to the surface to build with, and that soil makes a remarkably smooth, effective clay. It’s a traditional material, not a lab product. One ingredient, nothing added, nothing to it but the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because we harvest sustainably and never take from the same mound more than twice a year, the colour shifts a little batch to batch. That’s not a fault, it’s the sign of a raw, single-source material. It also means the clay doesn’t expire. Keep it dry and it lasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
